I just got home from school/working and checked on Bloodwing. Right now she is looking SO much better than she was last night/this morning!

She was out of hiding, and I took some BettaMin flakes I bought a little while back (forgot I had them!! I’d stopped feeding them because it says they have color enhancers and I was feeling unsure about that.) I poured some out and mixed in some garlic powder, then fed her some, and she ate up! I was so happy to see that, I wanted to cry. (Of course Nimbus got some too c: )

I stared at her for a few minutes (mainly waiting for her to hide again, but she didn’t!!) and while she still isn’t tip-top with her fins flared out all the way, she does look so many shades better. And wasn’t darting around. She was kind of bumping her nose at one specific spot on her wall, so Idk if she was rubbing or if she saw something outside the tank that she wanted to approach so I’ll watch for that.

I am still keeping a close eye on her, and going to test her water and get some stress coat, but at least for the time being I can breathe! *BIG SIGH*

And I compared the old flakes they’ve been on with the BettaMin I’ll be replacing it with. While the old flakes weren’t totally vegetarian, they had a lot less meat ingredients and even had alfalfa meal o_o In all, (looking at the guranteed analysis) the new stuff as 8% more crude protien! And it’s marketed/made specifically for Betta Splendens, as opposed to the old stuff which says it’s for tropical fish in general, but in fine print says it’s great for Goldfish D: Goldfish =/= Betta. Uh, Goldfish do not even = tropical :s
